AETHUS just got a fresh update that puts the power of seasonal events squarely in your hands. Version 1.027 introduces a new Settings panel where you can toggle seasonal events on or off and even reset their progress, starting with the Spring Event—now replayable anytime after hitting the right story milestone.
What’s New in the Settings Menu
- Seasonal Event Toggle: Enable or disable events like the Spring Event at will, once you’ve progressed enough in the main story.
- Progress Reset: Want to experience the event from scratch? You can reset its progress directly from the menu.
- Replayability: No more waiting for real-world dates—jump back into the event whenever you like.
This change is a big win for completionists and players who missed limited-time content. It also adds a photosensitivity warning to the splash screen, a thoughtful accessibility addition that’s becoming standard in modern games.
Bug Fixes That Matter
The patch also squashes several issues that could ruin a run or lock you out of progress:
- Fixed a rare blocker with the Epsilon external power breaker button.
- Drop Items on Death setting now correctly applies when starting a new game.
- Removed out-of-place dialogue in Epsilon Secure Storage and for Trudy before her reintroduction.
- Added safeguards to prevent teleporting or using elevators while dead or dying—no more unreachable dropped items.
“We’ve added extra safeguards to make sure the player isn’t teleported to an unreachable point if dead/dying when teleporting or using an elevator.”
For players, this means fewer frustrating softlocks and a smoother experience when exploring hazardous areas. The ability to replay the Spring Event on demand is a standout feature—it rewards curiosity and ensures no one misses out on content due to timing. AETHUS continues to refine its survival horror formula, and this update shows the devs are listening to feedback about player agency and accessibility.
