Patch 1.035 for AETHUS is now live, introducing official gamepad support alongside a two-week sale starting tomorrow.
New Gamepad Features
The update adds full gamepad and controller support, including Steam Deck controls. A new interaction scheme simplifies common actions like gathering resources and using facilities. The UI and 3D cursor remain accessible by holding the left trigger and moving the right stick.
Sale and Demo
Starting tomorrow at 6PM BST (10AM PST), AETHUS will be 20% off for two weeks. The free demo has also been updated with gamepad support, allowing players to try the game risk-free.
Additional Changes
- Added facility signage to Lost World, Magma Rifts, and Scarpa Climber interiors.
- Fixed build mode placement issues with destructible resources when collision checks are off.
- Fixed build menu checkboxes becoming non-interactable with increased global UI scaling.
The developer notes that Steam Deck verification is still in progress, with performance optimization remaining. Players can provide feedback via Steam Discussions or the official Discord, which now has over 2,500 members.
