Funcom dropped Dune: Awakening hotfix 1.4.10.1 on July 1, 2026, and it requires a client-side download. If the update doesn’t start automatically, you’ll need to restart your Steam client. Servers were coming back up shortly after the patch went live.
Performance and Building Changes
The biggest change here is a round of improvements to reduce PSO stutters. Funcom says they made “further improvements to considerably reduce PSO stutters in the game.” That’s good news if you’ve been dealing with those hitches during combat or exploration.
The building menu got some love too. They updated the layout to stop overlaps with required materials, even when you’ve got up to 10 building sets displayed at once. The menu prompts — Z, C, and the arrow buttons — are now clickable with the mouse. That’s a small but welcome quality-of-life tweak.
Mission Fixes and Sand Footprints
For the Sample Recovery Landsraad mission, they added footprints in the sand between the rock islands. That should make the path a lot easier to follow. They also removed a placeholder category from the Sub-Fief Console building limitation window.
Two specific bugs got squashed:
- Players no longer get teleported from a specific spot in O’odham to the Mysa Tarill Contemplation Room entrance area.
- Lowering a cargo container through a horizontal pentashield won’t teleport it outside your base anymore.
