Funcom just hit the one-year mark for Dune: Awakening, and they’re looking back at everything they’ve added since launch. They also dropped a date for the console version.

A year of changes

The team released a video and a blog post walking through the major updates that shaped the game over the last twelve months. They didn’t list every single patch note, but the recap covers the big shifts — new zones, systems, and quality-of-life tweaks that turned the survival MMO into something closer to what they originally envisioned.

“One year after launch, we’re taking a deep dive into the updates that have shaped the game so far.”

It’s a solid move. Dune: Awakening launched with a lot of promise and a fair share of rough edges. The updates since then have smoothed out some of the grind and added more reasons to explore Arrakis.

Console players get a date

The bigger news might be the console release. September 22, 2026 is the target. That’s the same day they’ll show off what’s coming next for the PC version too. So console players won’t just get the base game — they’ll land in the middle of a living MMO that’s already had a year of fixes and features.

If you want the full breakdown, Funcom points to their blog for the details. The video’s up too.
