The first alpha for Rooted kicks off this Monday, September 4, at 2:00 PM CEST. If you’re a Founder (Lone Wolf tier and above), you’ll get your access key between September 2 and 3, delivered through your Rootedthegame.com account and by email. Check spam folders or just log into the website to grab it.
Not a Founder? You can still get in. The team will send more invitations by email throughout the alpha’s run. If you don’t see a key in the first few days, don’t panic — more will go out later. No need to sign up again.
There’s no pre-download option for this alpha. The developers are keeping things straightforward — they expect the build you’ll play was compiled just minutes before launch. No fancy marketing tricks here, just early access to a work-in-progress.
So what’s in Alpha 1.0? You’ll control the character for the first time, explore the full Monastery area, mess with some puzzle elements, and poke around dark corners. It’s an early build, so expect rough edges. The team plans to push fixes and updates regularly, with the alpha split into four major phases.
Co-op is already live. You can play solo or invite friends to explore the Monastery together. Joining someone else’s game is an option too. Features are basic right now — VOIP, text chat, and friendly fire enabled by default. The developers promise improvements and additions over time.
This first alpha phase could last weeks or even months, depending on feedback and bug reports. They’ll keep patching and adding as they go.
