Jagex dropped RuneScape: Dragonwilds patch 0.12.0.2 on June 23, 2026. The main change? It re-enables localisation support for Steam Clients. Now the language your Steam Client uses will automatically tell the game what language to boot up in.

But they’re not stopping there. The devs are tracking down a bunch of issues and aiming to push 0.12.0.3 today.

What They’re Investigating for This Week’s Hotfix

The big one is visual problems with Trees and HLODs. The team’s still digging into it, and they say player reports have been super helpful. They’re targeting a hotfix this week.

Other stuff on the list:

  • Making sure you can earn 99 achievements by crafting a skill cape or hitting the required level
  • The Splinter crash on Dedicated Servers — it’s not just Willow anymore
  • Status effects staying on screen after the bar empties
  • Some crafting stations disappearing on Dedicated Servers but leaving invisible blocks behind

What’s Coming in 0.12.0.3

They’re aiming to deploy 0.12.0.3 today with fixes for:

  • The Fuel Pellet Journal Entry showing the wrong crafting location
  • Death Exchange and Evil Emporium vendors wrongly needing Umbral Sands reputation
  • Incorrect inventory stack values at Umbral Sands’ Merchants
  • Garou Chit values displaying wrong numbers on items
  • Food healing values being halved in localised text
  • UI popup quantities doubling up on Dedicated Servers
  • Certain Terrorbird variants unlocking the same ones, blocking others
  • “Contact!” and “Mapping the Sands I” showing two named rewards instead of one

Longer-Term Fixes (0.12.0.4+)

They’re also looking at Fishing Locations in Fellhollow and Brynmoor that can’t be fished in, Adamant Bolts requiring Adamant Arrows first, and Tok-Xil enemies dropping nothing on death. Dedicated Servers have crafting stations vanishing on restart and crashes with the Splinter Skill Spell. Wading into quicksand then water leaves sand VFX behind.

The devs are checking Reddit, Discord, and Steam for reports.
