Keen Software House dropped Hotfix 2.3.0.2783 for Space Engineers 2 on July 7, 2026. It’s a chunky patch for an Early Access alpha, squashing nine crashes and a handful of annoying bugs.

Crash Fixes

The team fixed crashes in several systems. Here’s what they patched:

  • BlockPlacementAlignment.UpdateAlignment
  • EventControllerDetailModelServer.OnPropertyChanged
  • FloraStats.ResetSectorData
  • InProcessReplicationSessionComponent.PatchNetworkStoryStateMachine
  • LoadMenuScreenViewModel.DeleteActionAsync
  • PlanetFloraClientComponent.IsRemoved
  • ReplayContext.TranslateObject
  • SharedUIComponent.ReopenCachedScreen
  • ThirdPersonCameraComponent.CameraCollisionDetection

They also fixed a crash in decals. That’s a lot of stability work for one update.

Other Fixes

Beyond the crashes, they addressed some long-standing annoyances. The G-Screen now shows the correct toolbar when you switch from the regular toolbar, and hovering over blocks no longer shows empty tooltips. The Hydrogen Tank refill sound won’t loop endlessly when the tank cycles between full and depleted. Hydrogen Thrusters also got their sound back.

Other fixes include a missing message when the internet disconnects during modded world loading, PCU values not updating in the G-Screen, and redo not restoring a previously placed Hinge block on a grid. They also improved crash reporting and fixed very long loading times for some older saves.

Please keep in mind that VS2.3 is still an Early Access and playable Alpha version of Space Engineers 2.

Two known issues remain: falling particles show when the character isn’t falling, and the First Person Camera sits inside the Pioneer Character’s model. Fixes are on the way.
