This week’s Star Citizen update highlights ongoing community events and a recent developer discussion on Alpha 4.8.

Alien Week 2026 and Community Events

The Alien Week 2026 celebration, themed around the Banu, runs through July 6. Players can participate in the Xeno Craft Challenge, creating alien-themed food, art, props, models, or costumes for a chance to win alien ships. The “Show Us Your Colors” event also remains open until June 30.

Community meetups continue with the next Bar Citizen World Tour stop scheduled for Chicago, Illinois, on July 18. Local events include Bar Citizen Montpellier in France this weekend.

Developer Talk and Subscriber Content

Last week’s Star Citizen Live featured Chief Technology Officer Benoit Beauséjour and Gameplay Engineering Director Jens Lind discussing Alpha 4.8 and ongoing work on player feedback. The full conversation is available on YouTube.

Subscribers can expect the June issue of Jump Point and the RSI Weekly Newsletter on Friday, June 26.

Community Spotlight

The weekly Community MVP award goes to OrangeJuZi for the video “Blooming Toward the Light,” featuring Railens flying through Bloom’s landscape. The creator receives an MVP badge on Spectrum and a spot in the Hub’s MVP section.

For players, this week offers opportunities to engage with Alien Week activities and catch up on development insights from the Alpha 4.8 discussion.
