The June 2026 monthly report for Star Citizen covers development across AI, animation, art, ships, and mission design, with highlights including new creature abilities and ship progress.
AI and Creature Updates
The AI Content team supported initiatives for Alpha 4.9, setting up comms calls and NPCs for upcoming missions and locations. A performance-capture shoot was supported to ensure seamless content flow. AI Features & Tech fixed an issue with Super Heavy NPCs not using miniguns and resolved Human AI bugs where NPCs fired at unseen targets. For the apex valakkar, developers introduced area constraints, laser and EMP attacks, attack-switching, and improved surface sound detection. A bug causing the Yormandi to get stuck in reactions was fixed. Flight AI improvements for fleeing and counter-chasing behaviors were made but not yet integrated into the Persistent Universe.
Ship and Vehicle Development
The UK Ships team finalized and launched the Gatac Railen and Tyilui, then resumed work on a Grey’s Market ship parked last year. Work continued on the Liberator, integrating Anvil kit pieces from recent ships like the Asgard and Paladin to reduce new content needs. More artists moved to the RSI Galaxy. Two new ground vehicle variants progressed: one passed a combined whitebox and greybox gate review, and the other approaches its whitebox gate review. Four unannounced ships advanced, including a new fighter that passed its whitebox gate review and enters the greybox phase.
Art and Animation
The Animation team fleshed out apex valakkar animations and worked on mission-giver Battaglia. Character Art focused on a new armor set, mission rewards, Nine Tails gang updates, and the StarWear initiative. Concept Art progressed on a new combat armor.
This report shows steady progress across multiple fronts, with creature AI and ship pipelines moving toward future Alpha releases.
