starrupture

The first major update for StarRupture dropped on April 9, 2026, and it’s a big one. Update 1 for the Early Access version hits Steam with a larger map, new unlockable zones, and a bunch of fresh mechanics. You’re getting new resources like Powerium and Goethite, plus tier-2 versions of existing buildings like the Compounder v.2 and Fabricator v.2.

Ziplines and Exploration

The standout new feature? Ziplines. They work like Drone Rails but you’re the cargo zipping along the lines, not your resources. You can set up a network with Zipline Poles and ride in any direction along the track.

“It’s great for travelling fast and sightseeing at the same time. You should definitely try building some wicked race tracks for them to compete with your buddies!”

The expanded map also opens up territory beyond radiation zones. You’ll find new Abandoned Bases, Antennas to unlock, caves to explore, and fresh spots to harvest resources.

New Systems and Critters

Update 1 adds a ton of new buildings across different categories:

  • Oil Extractor and Laser Drill for extraction
  • Refinery and Pyro Forge for ore processing
  • Constructorizer and Facturer for production
  • Chemical Generator for power
  • Recycler for personal crafting

Wildlife enters the mix with three new creatures: Vulpir, Coralion, and Skylisk. The update also bumps up Corporation Levels & Rewards and introduces over 40 new items and recipes for production pipelines.

The patch addresses player feedback from the support page, Steam forum, Reddit, and Discord. There’s also new lore content — extra foundables, dialogues, audiologs, and datapads to dig through.
