StarRupture’s first Early Access update landed on Steam on April 10, 2026, and it doesn’t just add stuff — it reshuffles how the whole game works. You’ll get new playable areas, buildings, resources, wildlife, story elements, corporation levels, and a bunch of gameplay reworks. The devs also packed in fixes based on player feedback.
Progression Gets Reset
Here’s the big one: all Corporation Levels rolled back to Level 1. Your pre-update progress converts into Data Points, which you spend at the Corporate Terminal to level up again and unlock rewards. Everything you already built stays on the map and keeps running, but you can’t build new copies until you unlock them again in the Corporate Terminal or Development Station.
Some early-game mechanics — like Walkway and Dash — now sit behind specific Corporation Levels. The Pistol is no longer a Corporation reward either. You’ll craft it at the Equipment Upgrade Station instead. And here’s the kicker: if you die, you lose every weapon you’re carrying, including the Pistol. So keep an eye on your vitals.
“The Teleporter is now a Corporation Reward — you won’t need to launch the Forgotten Engine to receive it anymore.”
Cargo, Quartz, and Blueprints Reworked
The Cargo Dispatcher and Receiver now connect one-to-one only. Old connections are dead — you’ll need to reconnect them manually. You also don’t set parcel size anymore; the dispatcher automatically packs and sends materials every 20 seconds.
Quartz got a makeover too. All Quartz spent on buildings returns as Quartz Ores. Old Quartz Building Materials in your inventory or storage are useless for construction now, but you can recycle them into Quartz Ores — no loss — via the Recycler. Use those ores at the Development Station to unlock upgraded buildings. Buildings that once needed Quartz Building Materials now fall under Base Core Overheat Capacity, so plan your builds carefully.
One last change: picking up a blueprint you’ve already found now gives you an Item instead of a duplicate.
