StarRupture’s Hotfix 0.2.2 is now live, addressing issues introduced with Update 1 alongside a handful of older bugs. The patch, announced on April 22, 2026, focuses on stability, progression, and multiplayer sync problems players flagged since the last big content drop.

The biggest fix here targets progression rollback. If you loaded a save created before Update 1, buildings you’d already unlocked and built will now automatically unlock in the Development Station. That should save you from replaying chunks of the tech tree.

Crash Fixes and Multiplayer Sync

The patch improves game stability on several save files, which is good news if you’ve been crashing on load. On the multiplayer side, they fixed an issue where Control Station’s doors in Forgotten Engine would lock up after reloading in co-op. They also tightened Zipline synchronization for co-op players riding close together — less rubber-banding, more smooth travel.

Dedicated Servers get specific attention too. Two bugs where Rail V3 and Ore Excavator V2 unlock requirements weren’t counting correctly in the Development Station are now fixed.

Building and Combat Adjustments

There’s a heap of building fixes in this one:

  • Fixed a rare bug that launched players into the air when starting a Zipline ride
  • Pillar Support now correctly resets build stability after placement
  • Platforms now conduct power properly when placed in bulk
  • Improved collision checks for Rail Support extensions
  • Fixed the Cargo Dispatcher progress occasionally resetting
  • Better drone pull logic over long distances
  • Improved visuals for deconstructing Multirail 3 and Multirail 5

For combat, Turrets now target enemies (including Swarmers) without visible delay, and the Grenade spreads its damage more evenly between swarms and single targets.

Environment tweaks fix Quartz not loading in caves near buildings, plus improved spawn logic for Vulpir’s and Coralion’s eggs. Elsewhere, they cleaned up warning text between “Delete Session” and “Delete Save,” updated Zipline descriptions, and added German localization improvements.

The devs say they’re still watching Early Access feedback closely while working on both fixes and new content.
