The Creepy Jar team shared a developer blog on June 19, 2026, giving a peek at what’s coming in Update 2 for StarRupture’s Early Access. They’ve been busy since the first big update, crushing bugs and tweaking gameplay based on player feedback.
What’s in the Pipeline
The devs are clear: everything’s still a work-in-progress and could change before release. But they’ve listed some juicy features they’re testing:
- Copying buildings with their parameters – no more manual reconfiguring
- Copying & pasting parameters across buildings – spread settings fast
- Drone Roundabout overhaul – a rework of how drones navigate
- Multi-deconstruct feature – tear down multiple things at once
- Deconstructing Buildings without Platforms – more flexibility in cleanup
- Crafting information displayed as items/minute – real-time production stats
“Mind you, the content below is still representing a work-in-progress status and might change in its final game version.”
A History of Iteration
The team reminded players that Update 1 already packed in new content and mechanics, setting the stage for the 1.0 release. They’ve been constantly releasing hotfixes since launch, reacting to bug reports and player suggestions. “We are reading, analyzing, and addressing your comments and bug reports,” they wrote.
There’s no release date for Update 2 yet, but the devs promise more details later. For now, the copy-paste building tools and drone changes look like the biggest quality-of-life wins for factory builders.
