Creative Director Anthony Gallegos is back with a new update vlog for Subnautica 2. He’s walking through what the Early Access 1.1 update, called Adaptive Measures, brings to the game. It launches tomorrow, July 8th, 2026.
What’s in Adaptive Measures
The vlog doesn’t spell out every single fix, but Gallegos frames 1.1 as a response to player feedback from the initial Early Access launch. It’s the first major patch since the game hit Steam.
He also looks ahead. The video outlines some features and content coming in the 1.2 update and later in the year for Early Access 2. No hard dates for those yet, just a roadmap of what’s on the way.
Where to Follow Development
If you want to dig into the details or share your own thoughts, there are a few places to go. The team points players to their official Discord server for discussion and speculation. You can also drop ideas and vote on other suggestions over at Nolt.io.
Subnautica 2 is available on Steam right now. The 1.1 Adaptive Measures update goes live July 8th.
