The latest Windrose patch, version 0.10.0.8, dropped on July 8, 2026, and it’s a small one. The devs are thanking players for feedback on their recent devblog while shipping a couple of targeted fixes.

What’s Fixed

The main fix addresses a frustrating issue where projectiles could pass through ships at long distances without registering hits. So your long-range shots should actually land now.

They also improved Japanese localization, which is a nice touch for that player base.

The Known Bug

There’s still a lingering problem. The devs are upfront about it:

A random bug may cause volleys fired from the front cannons to deal no damage, even when cannonballs clearly hit the ship’s hull. This will be fixed in a future update.

So if you’ve been seeing your front cannons do nothing on a clear hit, you’re not alone. They’re working on it.

It’s a small patch, but the projectile fix is a big deal for anyone who’s watched their cannonballs ghost through enemy hulls. The known issue is annoying, but at least they’ve acknowledged it.
